Please leave the camp and its surroundings as you found them. Before you leave, please clean the kitchen and bathroom, vacuum, empty the trash and retrieve personal items.
Please turn off lights and electrical appliances when not in use.
The land surrounding Green Pond is privately owned. Please do not trespass.
Please close windows if you plan to be away for the day.
Please clean up after your pet!
You may not run a business at the camp.
No campers, camping trailers or recreational vehicles.
No air conditioners.
Environment
Please do not smoke inside.
Please do not bathe or wash in the pond.
Septic systems are sensitive. Do not flush sanitary napkins, tampons and applicators, condoms or disposable diapers.
Trash and recycling
We have mandatory recycling in Oxford. Please use the containers provided to recycle glass, tin cans, newspaper, plastic and corrugated cardboard.
We are required to use clear trash bags, which we provide for you.
Full trash bags and recycling should be placed in the enclosures in front of each camp.
Safety
No open fires, please! Gas grills are provided.
Smoke outside only; please use the ash trays and butt cans provided.
Swim at your own risk. There are no life guards. Do not leave your children unattended. Be courteous--sound travels over water.
Please do not take any bottles or glass containers down to the swimming areas.
Use caution when driving on the camp road. Maximum speed is 10 mph.
Dogs must be leashed at all times. Please do not leave pets unattended.
Maine state law requires one life preserver for each person in a boat. We provide adult-sized life preservers; please bring life preservers for infants and small children.
Fall/Winter Guests
Use caution on the camp road which can be icy under the snow.
Keep the upstairs thermostat set between 65° and 72°. The basement should be no lower than 50°.
The pond does freeze, but be aware of areas of thin ice.
